Photo Friday: Monkey in Cahuita, Costa Rica

Digg Digg

This week’s Photo Friday (#FriFotos) theme is ANIMALS.  Before embarking on a snorkeling tour in Costa Rica, Chris and I hiked through the Cahuita National Park, where a white-faced (capuchin) monkey appeared about 10 ft high in the tree above us.  This national park, on the Caribbean coast, extends into Manzanilla National Park, just north of the Panama border.  Both parks are teaming with wildlife, including sloths, otters and snakes. You can hear the howler monkeys at dawn.
